Half of tech executives reported heavy drinking in a new survey. The study polled 501 tech executives at companies with at least 1,000 employees. The survey, titled "2023 Mental Health in Tech Report," was taken between April 27, 2023 and May 15, 2023. Along with long-term fears of job loss, some tech executives reported struggling day to day. Well, now we know, thanks to a new interview Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently gave to Wired. Jalaluddin Rumi, or Rumi as he's most commonly referred to, was a Persian poet who lived during the early 13th century. The Microsoft CEO told Wired that seeing GPT-4 accomplish this early on was a "mind-blowing experience."

Apple is already working on two follow-ups to its Vision Pro headset, Bloomberg reports. Apple's sky-high price tag for its latest product, the $3,499 Vision Pro headset, elicited groans from the crowd when it was announced. Instead, the entry-level device could be called something like the Apple Vision One — or simply the Apple Vision, according to the report. (Apple already runs this risk, even with the impressive screens currently within the Vision Pro.) Meanwhile, Apple is also working on a follow-up to the Vision Pro that will be even better, introducing a faster processor, Gurman reports.

Amazon could be gearing up to offer "Prime Wireless." The low-cost cell phone plan could help Amazon boost its Prime subscribers, Bloomberg reports. Amazon may soon be dangling yet another perk in front of prospective Prime members: the chance to save big on your monthly cell phone bill. The company is in talks with wireless carriers about potentially offering a Prime Wireless plan that could range from $0 to $10 per month for Amazon Prime members, Bloomberg reported on Friday. Even at $10 a month, a Prime Wireless plan would represent real savings for most people.

Amazon has yet to share viewership numbers on its "Rings of Power" finale, weeks later. The show has yet to cross the vague 100 million viewers milestone it teased three weeks ago. Payne and Patrick McKay later noted that 12.6 million viewers watched the premiere in the US in the first four days. Still, Amazon said "Rings of Power" in its first two months has driven "more Prime signs-up globally than any other Amazon original."
